On Tuesday, October 29, from 7-8 pm ET, the Coalition for Trust in Health & Science and the National Consumers League will host a virtual Town Hall event titled “Tips for Consumers: Finding Trusted Health Information,” produced by BlackDoctor.org. The 60-minute event is free and open to CTHS members, your constituents, and the general public.
Our board chair, Dr. Reed Tuckson, will moderate the panel featuring Dr. Helen Burstin (CEO at the Council of Medical Specialty Societies), Robin Strongin (Director, Health Policy at the National Consumers League), and Ramin Bastani (CEO at Healthvana).
The event will explore the importance of accessing credible health information. It will cover topics such as finding credible health information, identifying misinformation, and taking action to be an empowered health consumer.
