The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has tons of resources dedicated to health literacy. One resource is the AHRQ Health Literacy Universal Precautions Toolkit, which serves as a guide for clinicians and those in healthcare. The toolkit is made up of guides, worksheets, case studies, and presentations to help provide a better understanding of the complexities of our health care system, increase patient understanding of health information, and enhance support for patients of all health literacy levels. Another useful resource is the Ten Attributes of Health Literate Health Care Organizations. This resource describes each of the identified 10 attributes and provides specific resources to help organizations meet each attribute and become health literate.
