About Us

Founded in March 2023, the Coalition for Trust in Health & Science (CTHS) is a nonpartisan, non-profit organization focused on ensuring that everyone is empowered to make informed and personally appropriate health decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities based on accurate, understandable, and evidence-based information.

We are building this future by leading a coalition of more than 90 diverse national organizations aligned to promote trust in health and science and challenge false information through collaboration, collective learning, and timely, evidence-based resources.

CTHS has established an evidence-based infrastructure of knowledge about information accuracy and trust through a health and science lens. Our work is grounded in an “intellectual engine” led by an array of respected academic researchers under the leadership of our founding member, the NewCourtland Center for Transitions and Health at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing.

Our coalition’s members are uniquely positioned to support the nation’s health workers, scientists, and public health officials who interact daily with millions of patients and consumers across various settings. We are focused on supporting such encounters with timely, evidence-based resources so individuals feel equipped to make personally appropriate health choices.
